Cat visits
Cats are homebodies by nature and a change of territory to a cattery can be a stressful experience. Having a professional cat sitter visit your cat in their own space, is the least disruptive holiday care option for them.
Every cat is unique, some like a lot of attention and others want to be left in peace. We take time to get to know their personality and habits.
In the first instance, we’ll find out everything we can from their owners and seeing the cat at home with their family around them. During our first few visits, by carefully observing body language, we let them show us how they want their visits spent. This is how we build relationships with the cats in our care. Taking time to understand them, has helped us detect illness and stress in the past and enabled us to react swiftly.
How we interact with your cat will depend on our assessment of them.
However, here is a list of the tasks we normally undertake:
- Provide fresh food and water in clean bowls
- Clear litter trays and dispose responsibly in a biodegradable bag
- Administer medication
- Provide regular updates by text, WhatsApp or email
- Undertake light household tasks such as putting bins out, gathering post, opening/closing curtains, switching lights on/off and watering plants.
Solo & small group dog walks
We provide walks for those dogs who prefer solo outings. There are many reasons a dog might benefit from being walked alone. Perhaps they are anxious, reactive, elderly or young, requiring undivided attention.
Solo walks allow us to bond with our canine companions and avoid pack mentality situations. We are better able to tailor routes and pace to suit them and avoid stressful situations.
This means your dog will enjoy their break from the house and return without feelings of stress, anxiety or frustration.
Dog home boarding
**Watch this space** We are in the process of applying for a license which will hopefully be granted by Summer 2026.
Small animal visits
We also look after small animals including rabbits, guinea pigs, hamsters, gerbils, ferrets, fish, birds, frogs and tortoises.
If your pet can be left home alone and you can talk us through their requirements, we can visit them as we would a cat.
Here is a list of basic tasks you can expect us to complete during our visits:
- Provide fresh food and water in clean bowls
- Clear waste and dispose responsibly in a biodegradable bag
- Administer medication
- Provide regular updates by text, WhatsApp or email
- Undertake light household tasks such as putting bins out, gathering post, opening/closing curtains, switching lights on/off and watering plants.
Chicken visits
We provide in-home visits to chickens, ensuring they are kept secure, fed and watered.
We are only able to visit chickens that live in secure runs or have automated doors, enabling them to put themselves to bed each evening. This is due to the time of day our visits take place and that chickens thrive on routine – in the summer months their foraging time would be cut short.
Home & garden visits
If you don’t have pets but would like someone to keep a check on your home and garden whilst you’re away, we also offer a house sitting service.
Here are some of the things a holiday visit might include:
- Collect post and parcels
- Put wheelie bins out for emptying
- Water house plants
- Water garden
- Switch on lights
- Open / close curtains
